Regional Museum, Lanckorona

The museum building is a typical small-town wooden cottage with a wide entrance gate reinforced with diagonal beams (‘mieczowane’) and arcades, where the entrance to the cellar with stone vaults is located. The cottage is covered with a high, shingled clipped gablet roof. The beamed wall on the side of the Market Square is covered with primitive clay plaster and whitewashed with lime stained with blue dye (ultramarine). An antique Austro-Hungarian-era horse-drawn fire engine is set up in the arcade on the side of the Piłsudskiego Street. Since 1967 the building has housed the Regional Museum founded by the Friends of Lanckna Society.
