Shop, Regional Museum, Lanckorona

The Friends of Lanckorona Society has operated a gift shop for several years. Here you can buy the association’s publications: books, CDs, guidebooks, maps, and postcards painted by the famous stage designer, co-founder of the Piwnica pod Baranami literary cabaret and the first ‘Lanckorona Angel’ – Kazimierz Wiśniak. The wares of healthy food producers and artists from the Lanckorona area are also sold here. Most of the products are artistic: lace, ceramics, Irena Zguda’s famous cut-outs, but also wood carvings, stained glass, and holy icons. Toys made of various materials, including the now-forgotten handmade rag dolls, are also an important product group. The most important motif appearing among these products is, of course, the figure of an Angel, connected to the recent tradition associated with the ‘Angel in the Town’ festival held in Lanckorona at the beginning of December each year. The local products are displayed on the walls, but also on the old kitchen stove and antique cupboards and chests of drawers. Admission to the museum can be purchased in the gift shop.
