The Municipal Centre of Culture in Nowy Sącz offers a range of attractive activities and artistic events. More than twenty amateur and professional artistic groups, clubs and interest groups operate under the aegis of this institution (e.g., Bolesław Barbacki Workers’ Theatre, Sądeczanie Regional Ensemble, NSA Theatre, Cudoki-Szuroki Theatre Group, Sądecka Symphony Orchestra, Sądecka Chamber Orchestra, children's and youth vocal and dance groups and art workshops. The Municipal Centre of Culture organises and coordinates many events that are a permanent feature in the cultural calendar of Nowy Sącz and the entire region. Some of them reverberate far beyond Nowy Sącz. Most important of them include the Autumn Theatrical Festival, NOWE KINO–NOWY SĄCZ Film Festival, SKAT Sącz Confrontations of Artistic Talents, the BAJDUREK Festival of Children’s and Youth Theatres. As a result of its thorough modernisation a few years ago, the MCC has a superbly refurbished and equipped interior: the auditorium, chamber music hall, recording studio, ballet room, conference room, art studio, foyer and an exhibition gallery.
