River in the Gorce Range, left-bank tributary of the Dunajec river with a length of 24 km.
It consists of the combined streams Furcówka and Forędówka, flowing from their sources near Kiczora. The height of the spring zone is over 1000 m above sea level, while the estuary to the Dunajec river lies at an altitude of 385 m above sea level. The width of the river bed varies on its different sections. The riverbed is narrow in the upper reaches, 120 meters wide in the middle and narrower again just before the mouth. In the river valley there are two towns: Ochotnica Górna and Ochotnica Dolna, and its estuary to the Dunajec river lies in Tylmanowa. The Ochotnica Valley is a rapidly developing agritourism region with a large number of accommodation sites.
