Shrine of St. Florian, Biecz

The shrine stands in the City Square, 30 metres from the historic town hall building with a tower. It dates back to the first half of the 19th century. It is covered by a tin tented roof and supported by four columns on a small stone foundation. Inside the chapel is a statue of St. Florian depicted in the clothes of a Roman soldier. The chapel is supposed to protect the city from fire because St. Florian is the patron of firefighters.
