The archaeological exhibition in the Chrzanów Museum, "The Prehistory of the Chrzanów Region", shows the earliest history of the broadly-defined Chrzanów area. The exhibition was prepared based on research the Museum has been conducting since the 1960s , primarily on the Lusatian culture's biritual cemeteries, e.g., Kwaczała-Spalona, Kwaczała-Łozek, Jankowice, Żarki Ziajki and Imielin. Many research seasons have added a large number of historical objects from burial sites. It consists of ceramics (vases, pots, bowls, ladles) and metal ornaments, primarily made bronze, less often of iron, and - very rare in Poland - also of lead. The above-mentioned burial sites date back to the early Iron Age (650-500 BCE). Additionally, the exhibition shows items from earlier eras: the Palaeolithic, the Neolithic, and the early Bronze Age. These include flint and stone tools (e.g., polished axes made of striped flint), ceramics, whorls. The exhibition also shows items connected to the late Roman period (4th and 5th centuries) from the Przeworsk culture settlements. These include ceramics and iron crafts (including an interesting anchor-shaped key).
