All Saints’ Church, Dąbrowa Tarnowska

In the chancel of the All Saints’ Church in Dąbrowa Tarnowska is a Baroque-Rococo altar dating from the time of the church’s construction in the late 18th century. Set it the altar is a panel painting of the Virgin Mary with Child. Above the main painting is a depiction of St. Joseph with Child. The chancel arch features a Renaissance image of Jesus Crucified, dating from the previous church (15th/16th century) with a painting of St. Mary Magdalene at the bottom of the cross. Beneath the chancel arch is an elaborate pulpit with sculptures of the four evangelists with their attributes; on the ceiling of the canopy is a dove, the symbol of the Holy Spirit. Figures painted on the side walls of the chancel: to the left of the altar are St. John the Baptist and St. Paul the Apostle, and on the right are St. John the Baptist and St. Paul the Apostle. The ceiling, i.e., the illusory vault, features a scene depicting the Assumption of Mary.
