The room houses an archaeological exhibition showing the history of the region from Neolithic to modern times. The display cases feature artefacts found during excavations in the castle and Old Town areas in Dobczyce, including fragments of pots, plates, lids and bowls, beautifully decorated clay tankards, and pipes – one of which has the shape of a Turkish vizier’s head. The room has richly decorated tiles including tiles from the castle stoves depicting the Szreniawa coat of arms (‘Drużyna’), 14th- to 18th-century tiles with various designs and colours as well as a replica of a fireplace from the renovation period, when the building was converted from a Gothic castle to a Renaissance residence (turn of the 16th and 17th centuries).
