Art Nouveau Room, Dołęga Manor

In the Art Nouveau room (women’s bedroom), there is an oil painting ‘Portret Staruszki’ (‘Portrait of an Old Woman’) by Ludwik Stasiak, painted in 1884. Ludwik Stasiak was a Bochnia-born painter working in the Young Poland (‘Młoda Polska’) modernist style. As a friend of Jacek Malczewski, Włodzimierz Tetmajer and Wincenty Wodziński, he often visited the Dołęga Manor House with other Kraków artists invited by the owners of the manor.
