Main Building, District Museum Nowy Sącz

As of 2018, the seat of the District Museum in Nowy Sącz is located in the historic building of the former Austro-Hungarian Bank built in 1912 according to a design by the Krakow architect, Teodor Hoffmann (1874–1959), who designed many residential and public utility buildings. His works include the building of the National Bank of Poland and the Ursuline Sisters Junior High School in Krakow. A representative hall intended for temporary exhibitions, meetings and concerts separates the permanent historical exhibition dedicated to the history of Nowy Sącz between 1867 and 1945 (the times of the Galician autonomy, wars and the inter-war period) from the exhibition showing a studio with paintings by Bolesław Barbacki, a well-known painter from Nowy Sącz.
