‘Dwór Karwacjanów i Gładyszów’ Art Gallery

Recepcja

The Society for the Preservation of Historical Monuments of the Gorlice Poviat and Beautification of Gorlice and Surrounding Areas, established in Gorlice in 1931, has set for itself the ambitious goal of recovering and restoring the Karwacjanów Manor and arranging a museum of the Battle of Gorlice there. The first stage of the building recovery was completed by 1939 thanks to the personal commitment of Konstanty Laskowski, the Society’s Chairman of the Board who used his own money to buy the plot with its ruined Manor and officially donated the property to the Society. Thanks to the commitment of many institutions and individuals associated in the Social Committee for the Revitalisation of the ‘Karwacjanów Manor’, the Manor was reconstructed in 1992. Interior design, architectural arrangement of the building, door and window carpentry as well as fencing and courtyard landscaping were provided free of charge by Zdzisław Tohl.
