In the central part of the Hall stands a lectern with a decorative canopy representing an allegory of the first four faculties: (from the left) the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Medicine, Law and Theology. Currently, the Jagiellonian University has 16 faculties. 

At the end of the Hall, there is a stone portal from the Kraków town hall. Dating from 1593,the Mannerist door, which used to lead to the Lord's Chamber in the town hall, was included in the University’s collections in the 2nd half of the 19th century. 

To this day, important University ceremonies are held in the Jagiellonian Hall. It was here that Pope John Paul II received an honorary doctorate degree in 1983. Above the exit door hangs a painting by Leszek Sobocki, representing the Pope with his hands raised at chest level, in a gesture to shield a sphere which, according to the artist, symbolises the world.
