The room is lined with a collection of busts of famous Poles, donors, scholars and graduates. In antique bookcases with glass doors, you can find books from the 18th and the 19th centuries. The volumes are only a symbolic reminder of the library collection moved in 1940 from Collegium Maius to the Jagiellonian Library, which remains the University library until these days. This part of Libraria is decorated with a characteristic vault depicting the image of heaven; originally, the blue colour was to remind professors that acquiring knowledge is the only way to obtain eternal life. The ribbed vault allowed large windows to be placed in the walls, which made it possible to give the 16th‑century space a modern touch.
