The next part of the exhibition, devoted to Ambroży Grabowski (1782–1868) has a 19th-century decor. You can find here memorabilia related to the famous historian, bookseller, antiquarian, collector and the author of popular guides to Kraków, among others. 

In the middle of the room, there is an interesting smoking table and a small bed, because in the 19th century, there was a belief that sleeping in a horizontal position could be harmful to health. 

On the other side of the room, there is a collection of clocks. Particularly noteworthy is a long-case clock, made by an outstanding Kraków clockmaker August Friedlein. The pendulum is decorated with the image of the Dioscuri, Castor and Pollux, patrons of the Roman cavalry. The massive case shelters a flute mechanism consisting of a set of wooden pipes and two leather bellows. The clock plays popular opera melodies, recorded on seven interchangeable pinned wooden cylinders. On the wall by the entrance to the Copernicus Treasury, there is a gouache by Michał Stachowicz from 1803, presenting Kościuszko's army in 1794 at the main market square in Kraków; in the painting you can also see the former town hall, which was demolished in the 19th century.
