The primary aim of the Centre is to promote the cultural life of the city and surrounding area. It focuses on education and the dissemination of culture in the county. The centre’s areas of activity include various forms of cultural education, education through art, collective participation in culture, forms of individual cultural activity, and cooperation with the local community. It hosts the following workshops: art, modelling, decoupage, music (learning to play the piano and guitar, as well as wind instruments), and dance classes for women. There is a County Brass Band and a community space at the Centre. Yearly events that take place include: the Bar Confederate Trail Rally, Lanckorona Days, St. John’s Fair, International Guitar Workshop, Romantic Lanckorona,  International Animated Film Workshop.
