Roadbuilding Museum and Open-Air Exhibition, Szczucin

Widok Muzeum z lotu ptaka.

The Road Construction History Complex of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, called the Roadbuilding Museum because of the unit's history, covers an area of about 2.2 ha. The exhibition focuses on the work of roadbuilders, documents, distinctions, measurement instruments, banners, photographs as well as laboratory equipment and models of bridges. The panorama presents the construction of a macadam road in the early 20th century. The main building is connected to the open-air museum with a historical Bailey's truss bridge, which can be accessed by spiral steps called a ‘snail’ from the top of the hill.
