Minister Józef Beck

The permanent exhibition ‘Chciejmy Polski, a będzie! – Minister Józef Beck’ (‘Let us want Poland and it will exist! – Minister Józef Beck’) presents Józef Beck, the last minister of foreign affairs of the Second Polish Republic and his father Józef Alojzy Beck through the lens of the family home that existed in Limanowa in 1899–1918. The multimedia exhibition presents numerous source materials (such as documents, photographs, letters and diaries) acquired from various national and foreign institutions (e.g., the Central Archive of Historical Records in Warsaw, the National Library in Warsaw and the Museum of the History of Diplomacy and Polish Refugees at the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz) and an animated documentary. The second part of the exhibition has been arranged to present the Limanowa study of Józef Alojzy Beck where Józef Beck sits (faithfully reconstructed) at the time of his service in the Polish Legions.
