This unique shelter currently housing the permanent exhibition of the socialism memorabilia is located in the basement of the Town Hall at 1 Krzywa Street in Nowy Targ. This is where analyses were supposed to take place in the event of a nuclear explosion to work out what and how many rescue units were to be sent to the site of the explosion on the basis of maps of the number of inhabitants. There is a model of a shelter which was to be used in case of danger. There were 7 such shelters in Nowy Targ or, more precisely, in the NZPS PODHALE Plant area.
