This room gathers the fruits of the woodcarvers from Biecz: holy sculptures. Biecz was home to artistic woodworking since at least the 14th century, and its main purpose was to praise patron saints and proclaim the craftsman’s zealous faith. The hanging sculpture of the crucified Christ is noteworthy. The piece is dated to the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, yet it plays a role in the legend of Saint Jadwiga from300 years earlier, which has it that it was this cross that hung in the hospital that she founded during the miraculous healing of the patient.

The exhibition is complemented by Renaissance altar candle holders formerly belonging to the Franciscan monastery in Biecz, a Baroque throne from Binarowa, and a portrait of the starost of Biecz, Jan Wielopolski.
