The castle chapel was founded by Piotr Komorowski in the early 17^th century. It is assumed that the stonework of the chapel was done by Paweł Baudarth, a renowned Flemish architect known in the region as one of the builders of the Bernardine church and monastery and the chapels in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. Inside, the 19^th-century ‘Entombment of Christ’ painting by a Krakow artist Wojciech Grzywiński can be seen in the altar recess. Uncovered fragments of the polychrome depicting ‘Secrets of the Holy Mass according to the Life of Jesus’ is the most valuable part of the chapel. It is one of the few surviving examples of the late Gothic wall painting in Poland. Individual scenes are divided into decorative squares, embellished and featuring appropriate old-Polish maxims. The chapel that still has a liturgical function is one of the most valuable parts of the castle.
