The Ethnographic Museum is located in a classicist suburban manor house surrounded by a garden and standing next to a two-floor granary built in the late 18th century. The Museum began with a small ethnographic collection, which now includes more than 5,000 objects. Chief among them are exhibits related to traditional folk culture of the Tarnów region. In addition to the aforementioned exhibits, the Museum collects objects related to the life and culture of the Romani people. The world’s first permanent exhibition about the Romani people opened here in 1990.
