A smithy from Liszki comes from the second half of the 19th century. It was a place where a blacksmith forged metal parts and construction fittings (locks, hinges, nails, studs, hooks, bars), made or repaired some kitchen utensils (knives, cleavers, pot holders, pokers) and made horseshoes and shoed horses. Smithies were usually built near roads and had arcades supported by pillars, which made it possible for the blacksmith to complete many of his tasks outside. There is a stone hearth inside with leather bellows nearby to keep the embers burning. Blacksmith's tools are arranged on benches and walls and in the middle of the smithy is an anvil and a hammer for forging iron while it is hot.
