The carriage shed is the last room of the Sołtys family croft. It was built in place of the woodshed. It housed a carriage. If there were more carriages, they would be parked on the threshing floor. The back wall of this room was once a door. Horses were led through it when there was a hay wagon in the carriage house. The door had a hole for the carriage’s drawbar. The carriage currently occupying this space is known as a ‘drewniok’ with two ‘półkosek’ – woven baskets constituting its side walls. In the carriage are milk cans. On the wall is a horse harness: hames, girth, reigns, breastplate, and harness saddle. By the window on the side of the stable is a container with a brush and tar with which to coat the wheels. In the carriage house, you can also see an interesting device consisting of two wooden beams and four massive wooden screws. This is a hoist used to lift a building to replace a rotten ground sill, add an underpinning, or make room to dig a cellar.
