The farm buildings on the croft include a woodshed (known as ‘jata’), a sheepfold, a threshing floor, and a stable. They are built of spruce logs; the roof is covered with wooden shingles. In addition to wood, the woodshed stored threshing sledges and often weaving supplies not used in the summer. The sheepfold could hold around thirty sheep. On the threshing floor, flails were used to separate the grain; certain stages of flax processing also took place there.
