The history of the Oksza Villa is part of the history of the Zakopane style. The villa is the third work by Stanisław Witkiewicz, the creator of the Zakopane style. It was designed in 1894–1895 for Bronisława and Wincenty Korwin-Kossakowski, as shown by Witkiewicz’s correspondence with the funders. The construction was done by Goral carpenters under the direction of Wojciech Roj and Jan Obrochta. The construction began in the spring of 1895 and was completed in June 1896. The basis for the start of the work were designs based on Witkiewicz’s drafts. Kossakowski commissioned Kazimierz Sieczka to make the furniture.
