During the modernisation carried out in the 17th century by the starost Jan Baronowski, a four-sided, four-storey tower, now called Baranowski Tower, was built. There is also a building in the middle castle called the Green, which is directly adjacent to the Baranowski Tower on the east side. The building has two high-set windows and can be accessed from the third level of the neighbouring tower. Its purpose is not known; it was probably not military in nature.
