One of the most valuable exhibits of the Concert Hall is the tapestry hanging in a place of particular importance for the decoration of the building, as it is the backdrop for all official ceremonies in the castle: anniversaries, concerts, weddings, conferences, and scientific symposiums. The tapestry is court property from the Goetz Palace of the Okocimski family. The quest for the Golden Fleece and the Greek myths about Jason recur in art from antiquity to the present day. The tapestry depicts Jason harnessing the bull in front of Aeëtes, King of Colchis. The central part of the composition is occupied by the figure of Jason (depicted in Roman armour, with a sword, and wearing a helmet with a plume), who leads a defeated, humbled bull by the bridle, while another, not yet tamed, is shown running in the background. On the left side, Medea, hidden among the greenery, observes Jason’s triumph. This tapestry is dated to the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, with indications of Flemish weaving centres.
