The homestead was built in 1903 and relocated to the open-air museum from Jabłonka 101 years later. According to the information obtained from its last owner, the cottage used to stand in a different place in Jabłonka before, which means that this was its second location. It is a single-building homestead with a single roof covering both the housing and the utility parts, both connected with a wide gate. The residential part is wooden and the stables are made of stone. There are so-called 'kicok' inserts in the front above the residential part, i.e., a fragment of the roof is made of straw. Originally, the entire roof was made of straw as it was the cheapest material, commonly available and easy to replace. The situation is very different today. It is very difficult to find someone who knows the old technique for the bundling and arrangement of the ‘kicok’ and automated harvest means that finding appropriate quality straw is not that easy. Therefore, a decision was made to cover the roof with shingles despite earlier plans and only leave symbolic fragments of straw.
