It comes from the early 20th century. The construction completion date of 25 May 1914 can be seen on the main ceiling beam in the white room. It is preserved in situ. According to the information obtained from the owners, young Karol Wojtyła (later the pope and Catholic Saint John Paul II) was a guest here in 1938 when he worked on the construction of the road through the Krowiarki pass connecting Zubrzyca Górna and Zawoja. The fact is commemorated with a plaque inside the building. The furnishings are typical for the 20 years of the inter-war period. Various objects related to the Polish pope and his pontificate are on display in the ‘bezsiyńizba’ (to the left of the entrance). The homestead was used till the end of the 1980s by its last co-owner Maria Misiniec who ran a small farm and kept a cow till the end of her stay in Zubrzyca and who is still fondly remembered by visitors and museum staff alike.
