Jabłoński Smithy

It is a log building slightly removed from the road, standing on a stone foundation and covered by a gable roof made of laths. Inside are typical furnishings and a blacksmith’s forge with a hearth and a chimney leading above the roof. The ceiling of the smithy has an opening with a door where one could raise a ladder to access the attic, in which there are cylindrical bellows operated from inside the smithy by pulling on a handle connected to the lever of the bellows. The air from the bellows is fed to the hearth through an iron pipe. The smithy was built in 1920s in Jabłonka. It was used regularly until 1996 and occasionally until 2007. It was relocated to the open-air museum with its furnishings in 2009.
