For centuries, Bukowno has been an important industrial centre (paper mill, mining, metallurgy), while at the same time retaining its valuable natural and recreational qualities. And so it has always been so. That is why it is worth getting to know its attractions, and the best way to do this is by exploring its numerous hiking trails and bicycle routes. The unique and extremely picturesque wooded and winding Sztoła Valley and the floristically valuable beech-covered monadnock hills – Diabła Góra (382.9 m) and Stoskowa Góra (362.5 m) – are a must-see.
From Bukowno, it is close to places unique to the Małopolska region. The Kraków-Częstochowa Upland with the Trail of Eagles' Nests and the Błędowska Desert are beautiful natural landscapes abundant with caves, charming green valleys, lofty hills, fanciful limestone rocks, clear karst springs. It's an area rich in monuments and plenty of space that can accommodate all kinds of activity.
The Bukowno Tourist Information Point is located in the Tramp Tourist House at 1 Spacerowa Street. Here, you can avail yourself of practical information and advice and receive free materials in several languages (guides, folders, leaflets, maps and plans). PIT cooperates with local, regional and national institutions. Its employees are an invaluable source of information about local sights, attractions and events. They can also advise on where to find delicious food and comfortable lodgings.
