This branch of the Krakow Museum located in Krakow's Zwierzyniec, is located in a typical suburban tenement house from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum touches on the subject of the former suburbs of Krakow from the moment of their incorporation into the city, organises temporary exhibitions devoted to the history of the Krakow suburbs, Krakow customs and outstanding representatives of the local community.

The permanent exhibition is an attempt to recreate the appearance of a typical furnished apartment near Krakow from the beginning of the 20th century. Everyday items have been collected in two small rooms. Temporary exhibitions tell about the history of Krakow's suburbs, old traditions and specific urban folklore. The branch invites you to meetings and lectures on history as well as educational activities for children. It periodically organises cultural events related to suburban traditions: the Emaus Fair during which a competition for the most beautiful Emaus tree is organised, on the octave of Corpus Christi, a meeting with the Lajkonik – the Zwierzyniec Horse and carolling together by a Christmas tree decorated with toys made by children. The Zwierzyniecki House also serves as an information point about the district of the Krakow suburbs, published by the Museum of Krakow.
