The courtyard with arcades of the royal castle in Niepołomice is one of the most beautiful examples of the Renaissance style in Poland. In the restored interiors of the residence, you can visit, among others, the gallery of 19th century Polish Art or the office of the famous photographer and traveller Włodzimierz Puchalski.

The restored interiors of the residence house several permanent exhibitions, including the Treasures of the Niepołomice Parish. They include works of sacred art from the treasury of the old Gothic church in Niepołomice. Among them is a renaissance red damask set and a monstrance from 1599. 19th century Polish Art from the collections of the National Museum in Krakow is presented in eight castle rooms. This includes over 130 paintings and 25 sculptures, the authors of which are, among others: Henryk Siemiradzki, Jan Stanisławski, Artur Grottger, Leon Wyczółkowski, Piotr Michałowski, Jacek Malczewski, Stanisław Witkiewicz. The collection found here is all the more valuable as most of the works have not been presented so far. Those interested in the history of Niepołomice can learn about the history of the city through postcards, chronicles and photographs. Fans of the traveller and outstanding nature photographer, Włodzimierz Puchalski, will also not be disappointed. The filmmaker's office offers keepsakes donated by the family, including over 100,000 negatives, prints, manuscripts, albums and awards, cameras and personal items. In three castle halls, named hunting halls, you can see both Polish animals and game birds, as well as exotic specimens, including brown and black bears.
