The Mountain Guides Student Circle in Kraków brings together professional mountain guides with state qualifications to lead tourist groups in the Beskid Mountains. Many of them also hold National Park licences and qualifications as Tatra, city (Kraków), and international guides, mountain rescuers, and national and international tour guides. The guides are passionate and committed to their work, bringing others closer to the beauty of the Beskid Mountains and the whole Carpathian Mountains.
The Mountain Guides Student Circle in Kraków, founded in 1955, is the oldest academic guide association in Poland. Throughout its activities, more than 1,100 guides have joined the Circle! The Mountain Guides Student Circle is affiliated with the Academic Branch of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society.

Guides affiliated with the Mountain Guides Student Circle Kraków arrange socially organised trips to the mountains for young and old alike, e.g.,'Weekend with a Toddler', 'Weekend in the Mountains', 'The Mountains after Work, 'Eight-Thousander of the Beskid Wyspowy', or the 'Kulczycki Rally'. Also of considerable interest is the 'Crown of the Foothills', allowing you to discover the lower parts of the Carpathians. During the holiday season, the Circle runs three mountain tent bases. In the Gorce Mountains, the oldest and highest situated base in the Beskids is under the Mountain Guides Student Circle's care, as is the base on Lubań, while in the Beskid Niski a Tent Base, is run in Radocyna. Since its inception, the Mountain Guides Student Circle has conducted intensive training activities, educating future mountain guides. Every October, the Circle launches a 1.5-year Mountain Guide Course for people who want to become qualified to lead mountain tours. The Mountain Guides Student Circle undertakes numerous activities to promote mountain tourism and sightseeing. Moreover, the Circle is active in publishing, preparing publications with tourist content, and organising travel slideshows and mountain knowledge competitions. In recognition of its contribution to tourism development in the Małopolska Region, the Mountain Guides Student Circle Kraków was honoured with the badge 'For Merits to Tourism' awarded by the Minister of Sport and Tourism in 2008 and the Diploma of the Marshal of the Małopolska Region 'For contribution to the development and promotion of tourism in the Malopolska Region' in 2009.
