Żeleński Cycle Trail
Types of trails: Cycle
Length of trail: 50,4
This is an intriguing proposal for a trip leading from the Niepołomice Forest to the outskirts of the Beskid Mountains, which you can further explore, e.g., by leaving from Jodłownik and using the Carpathian Cycle Trail. The trail has recently been renovated and is well maintained, so you’ll have no problem navigating the terrain even without the gpx track. The few gravel sections can be bypassed on parallel asphalt roads, so it is also a good option for road cyclists. You will come across dedicated rest stops for cyclists mainly in the Niepołomice Forest and in Gdów, where the trail runs along the new sections of cycling roads in the Raba Valley (the future VeloRaba trail), opened for use in 2019. You’ll come across the title attraction, the Żeleński Palace in Grodkowice (we recommend accessing it from ul. Wiejska, as the trail bypasses the palace park).
