The Jasienna Vineyard is among the youngest in the Nowy Sącz region in the Korzenna municipality. It is also one of the highest in Poland (484 metres above sea level). It offers an extraordinary view of the Tatra Mountains, Beskid Wyspowy, Beskid Sądecki and Beskid Niski.
The vineyard was established in 2020 on an area of 20 acres and has 800 vines. It is situated on a gentle south-western slope, providing excellent sunshine. The vineyard was established on the site of a farm with buildings 40 years ago. When preparing the field for planting, a lot of metal objects used for farming were found in the ground, including two horseshoes, which became the symbol of the vineyard.
The winery is currently developing a wine cellar and tasting facilities. Next to the vineyard there is a gazebo with benches open to the public, with space for a fire or barbecue. While in the vineyard, it is worth visiting nearby Bukowiec, where the Diable Rocks nature reserve is located. There is also a picturesque wooden church with the habitat of an endangered bat species – the lesser horseshoe bat.
The hosts welcome all enthusiasts of oenotourism, wine, and winemaking who crave peace, quiet, and beautiful views. They will happily open their gates and tell you about their passion.
