The Spiš Loop described here is an international hiking and cycling trail running along the Polish-Slovakian borderland in the form of a loop with a branch through Dursztyn to Studzionki (providing a connection with the VeloDunajec, the Trail Around the Tatra Mountains and the Enclave of Active Leisure in the Gorce Mountains). The route is suitable mostly for advanced cyclists only, but in combination with the cycle trail through the Lubań Range it can be an interesting alternative for an off-road tour around the entire Lake Czorsztyn. Just to remind you: from 2019, cycling comfortably around virtually the entire lake is possible thanks to the VeloDunajec route and the Trail Around Lake Czorsztyn. The most difficult parts of the Spiš Loop are the section from the castle in Niedzica to Łapsze Niżne and from Łapszanka to Łapsze Wyżne, where in some places you have to get off the bike due to unpaved forest roads. The steep ascent on asphalt from Osturnia to Łapszanka is also a cycling challenge. In return for the sweat and mud we get amazing views of the Tatra and Gorce mountains (from Tabor to the castle in Niedzica, the Pass over Łapszanka, Grandeus, Szlembark). On the trail you can take a break at several rest stops, some of which are located precisely on these lookout points. The section from Nowa Biała to Dębno is an excellent link between the VeloDunajec and the Trail Around the Tatra Mountains along easy gravel roads that, should children be riding with you, will be easy as pie for the kids.

Maximum elevation: 999 m a.s.l.

The lowest point on the route is at elevation: 497 m a.s.l.
