Biała Woda Reserve

Pięć osób na koniach, które przechodzą przez strumień w Rezerwacie Białej Wody. Wokół sporo zieleni i skały.

Szczawnica Tourist region: Pieniny i Spisz

A charming gorge considered to be one of the most beautiful in Poland, it is an undoubted paradise where, thanks to the unique microclimate, you can move to the world of nature and relax by springs, mini-waterfalls, and cascades, admiring the rocks with interesting shapes. The location is ideal for a family with young children, for walking, and also for cycling.

Like the Homole Gorge, it was created in 1963 and is also open to the public. The reserve can be reached by an asphalt road from Jaworek along the Grajcarek River. A short but very picturesque, almost forest-free path marked with a yellow trail runs through the reserve, perfectly prepared for tourists (there are benches and information boards). The trail ends at Rozdziele Pass, where you can enjoy a lovely panoramic view. You can continue the walk to the highest peak of the Pieniny Mountains – Mt Wysoka. The valley is protected as a nature reserve but suitable for hiking and cycling. A flat bottom mainly characterises it; in the upper section, it is undulating and uneven, and water only flows through it after significant downpours. It then skirts isolated rock massifs, flowing down a rocky bed and over small cascades. The gorge is an interesting place in terms of nature, and it is worth seeing, for example, the Bazaltowa Rock of volcanic origin or the Smolegowa Rock cliff, which is made of crinoid limestone. The final section of the valley narrows to form the Miedzyskały Gorge. The reserve includes the remains of a Lemko village, waterfalls and a volcano. Entry to the reserve is free of charge.
