The edifice of the Higher Theological Seminary of the Archdiocese of Krakow was built between 1899-1902 as a result of efforts of Cardinal Jan Puzyna.
The Neo-Gothic building was built according to the design by Gabriel Niewiadomski. Since 1945, the future Pope – Karol Wojtyła – was the seminary student. In the later years, as a teacher, he taught Catholic social ethics. The building is located on the route “In the Footsteps of John Paul II in Krakow”.
