“Cracovia Danza” Court Dance Festival is the only event of its kind in Poland and in the world, as it is the only event that brings together masters of historic dances, as well as numerous ensembles.
The 20th “Cracovia Danza” Court Dance Festival will take place in Krakow from the 21st to the 28th of July, and this year’s edition will revolve around “Fairy tales and legends”. The festival programme features many stories from the fantasy world, referring to both European, Polish and Cracovian cultural heritage.

The 20th anniversary edition of the festival will be celebrated with two premieres. During the inauguration, which will take place on Monday, 22nd of July, the Cracovia Danza Ballet will present Pan Twardowski. Ale bajka! – a performance with music composed by Stanisław Moniuszko. The second premiere will take place during the final weekend, on Saturday, 27th of July, on the stage at the Main Market Square. This time, the audience will watch an international production of Metamorfoza kota w butach, with choreography designed by an outstanding French dancer and choreographer, Baroque dance expert, Pierre-Francois Dollé. The cast, apart from the Cracovia Danza dancers, will also feature an outstanding French dancer Irène Feste, and the dancers will be accompanied by musicians playing their historical instruments. The finale evening, which will take place on Sunday, 28th of July on the Main Market Square.
