Spływ Popradem

Poprad River Rafting

Łodzie przycumowane do brzegu Popradu.
Types of trails: Canoe
Piwniczna-Zdrój Tourist region: Beskid Sądecki i Niski
The Poprad River is a picturesque mountain river meandering between the Radziejowa and Jaworzyna Ranges. It is the warmest mountain river in Poland.

The Poprad River boating trip in special-purpose flat-bottom boats, somewhat similar to rafts, is 10 kilometres long. One boat can take 12 people and two boatmen. The trip starts in Piwniczna - Zdrój, and takes between 1.5 and 2.5 hours to get to Rytro, where it finishes. A trip down the Poprad River is an unforgettable adventure among meanders amidst the richness of the world of plants and animals. Interestingly, the Poprad's source is on the southern slope of the Carpathian Mountains, yet it flows northwards to the Baltic Sea. After reaching the finish line in Rytro, you can climb a hill featuring the ruins of a 13th century castle. For more information about the boat trip, visit: splywdolinapopradu.pl/opis-splywu.htm.

In the upper reaches of the river, in addition to boat trips, you can also go canoeing or take a ride on a pontoon raft. Route variants may vary, but they include the section of the Poprad River from Leluchów to Żegiestów. In addition, in Żegiestów, you can circumnavigate Łopata Polska, a place where Slovakia borders Poland from the north through an oxbow meander. Such rafting trips are organised by:

Canoeing or rafting down the Poprad River is usually impossible without getting soaked. However, the Poprad is the warmest mountain river in Poland and its waters aren’t icy, so getting wet is not an unpleasant experience. In summer, the water in the Poprad River can be as warm as 25 ˚C.
