Geographically, the Bronaczowa Forest lies in the Wieliczka Foothills and is a remnant of the Carpathian Forest. The name comes from the village of Bronaczowa, which no longer exists but was once located nearby. It is definitely a place to recommend for hiking and cycling.

It is one of the largest forest complexes close to Kraków. It is located on the borders of Mogilany, Radziszów and Głogoczów, depending on which side you drive from. It has an area of approximately 800 hectares. Bronaczowa Forest is ideal for long family walks, walking the dog, going for a jog in the morning, and bicycling. Unlike the Niepołomice Forest, to which it is compared, few people are there. The majority of the trees here are deciduous. There are numerous ravines and gullies with streams flowing continuously or periodically. Many plant species can be found there, including protected species such as the martagon lily, spurge laurel and lily of the valley. The forest has several hiking trails: green – ‘Generała Bema’, blue – ‘Sułkowickich kowali’, black – ‘Gwarkowie Sieprawia’. At the entrance to the forest there is a large car park with benches and a place for a barbecue or bonfire. In the north-western part of the forest, the ‘Kozie Kąty’ nature reserve was established in 1989 and covers an area of approximately 24 hectares. Beautiful and unique specimens of fir and beech trees can be seen there.
