The Miechowska Upland, a land of natural beauty, is a delight all year 'round. It charms with its idyllic landscapes, gentle hills, a colourful mosaic of farmland, forests and flowery meadows overgrown with thermophilous grasslands protected in nature reserves and Natura 2000 sites.

In this charming land of orchids, lavender fields, fields of grain, and rows of crops  stretching all the way to the horizon, fantastic monuments have also been preserved, including those very important to Polish tradition and history – manor houses of the nobility, old parks, wooden churches on the Wooden Architecture Route, and historical sites connected with the Kościuszko Uprising, starting with the Racławice Fields, a historical monument.

It is also the monastery and church of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre in Miechów, the only precise copy of Jerusalem's Holy Sepulchre in the whole world. It is worth mentioning here that at the time when Saladin’s army overran Jerusalem and Christians were expelled from the Holy City, it was to the Holy Sepulchre in Miechów that pilgrims from the entire Christian world of that time made their pilgrimage. They continue to go on pilgrimage there today. Książ Wielki, in turn, was home to Santi Gucci, the famous Italian Renaissance and Mannerist architect who designed ‘Mirów’ Castle.

The wide open spaces, natural beauty, and lush surroundings here are conducive to recreation and tourism – it is here that the first cycle route in Małopolska was created on the line of the former narrow-gauge railway. Charsznica is famous for the best cabbage and pickled cucumbers under the sun, and Tunel for its 1885 railway tunnel (764 metres), and on the peaks of the Miechowskie Mountains, we will see windmills.

The Miechów Tourist Information Point (PIT) not only advises tourists, but also promotes Miechów and the Miechów Upland. Here, visitors can obtain information on local and regional sights and attractions, restaurants, places to stay, but also local events. Materials and publications in many languages (guidebooks, brochures, leaflets, maps and plans) are available to visitors at no cost. The Point cooperates with local and regional government, institutions, parishes, NGOs, schools and businesses.

The PIT also maintains an extensive website. It's a great source of reliable information about what to visit in the city and region and about local events.

The Miechów Tourist Information Point operates as part of the Cultural and Sports Centre in Miechów and is part of the network of the Małopolska Tourist Information System.
