The Hucul Stud Farm "Gładyszów" in Regietów is located approx. 40 km from Krynica Zdrój. It is the biggest stud of this type not only in Europe, but also in the world.
Hucul - tiny, primitive mountain horses - are one of the oldest Polish breeds, and they are lower in stature than English horses and calmer. Great intelligence and perseverance in work characterise them. As a rule, they are gentle and teachable animals. The "Gładyszów" Hucul Stud in Regietów was established in 1984 when the decision was taken to build a stud farm, and a year later, the first batch of horses was moved there. It is undoubtedly one of the most attractive places in the region, which is worth visiting while staying in the Beskid Mountains. Regietów is a picturesquely situated village at the foot of Mount Rotunda, far away from main roads and big metropolises. It is a place that one can say is "not yet discovered" by tourists. The peace that prevails here enables excellent contact with the natural world. A trip to Regietów will be an exciting experience, not only for children, but for all horse lovers because the calm and friendly Hucul is a beautiful "family" horse.
