Starorobociański Wierch rises above three valleys, one on the Polish side is Starorobociańska, and the other two are Gaborowa and Zadnia Raczkowa, both on the Slovakian side. There are several ways to get to the summit. The long and exhausting route leads through Grześ, Wołowiec and Jarząbczy Wierch. However, the most popular route leads through Trzydniowiański Wierch and Ornak. You can start your excursion from the Chochołowska Valley or the Kościeliska Valley. Starting from the Kościeliska Valley, we follow the trail to the Iwaniacka Pass and then hike along the ridge of Ornak. Starting from Chochołowska there are several variants: the route through Starorobociańska Valley and Siwa Przełęcz (White Pass), the route from Polana Trzydniówka through Trzydniowiański Wierch and Kończysty Wierch, the route from the Chochołowska Glade through the Jarząbcza Valley and further through Trzydniowiański Wierch and Kończysty Wierch. Starorobociański Wierch is an excellent vantage point. The panorama from its summit includes both the Western and High Tatras. As the highlanders say, somewhere near the top of this beautiful mountain are hidden brigand treasures, which was mentioned by the famous Zakopane storyteller Jan Krzeptowski, a.k.a. ‘Sabała’.
