St. Ursula Ledóchowska

Sister of Blessed Maria Teresa Ledóchowska, she was born as Julia (1865–1939) and in her youth lived in Lipnica Murowana. She joined the Krakow Convent of the Ursulines at the age of 21 and she took on the name of Ursula. She conducted pedagogical activity in the spirit of Christianity in Russia and Scandinavia, and she founded the Congregation of the Ursulines of the Agonizing Heart of Jesus, also known as the Grey Ursulines. Canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2003, she is remembered on May 29.
