Pastoralism has been practised in the baca's family since time immemorial. He himself has a lot of work to do, as he looks after one of the largest flocks in the area, but he enjoys what he does and this is probably what makes his bundz so delicious. He inherited grazing from his father and grandfather. 'I have been around farm animals since I was a child. Sheep and horses are particularly dear to my heart,' he confesses. Ryszard Kuchta grazes 800 sheep, including 200 from his own flock. He is one of the most prosperous senior shepherds in the area. Working with sheep is his passion. 'I gradually worked my way up to be a senior shepherd while helping my father and learning various skills related to the animal breeding', he explains. Cheese made in the shepherd's hut: gołka, żentyca, oscypek, bryndza, bundz. Meat: Podhale lamb, mutton 'In the glade'. The shepherd's dogs kept in the hut: Dolina, Dunaj, Bućko, Zbójek, and Misiek.
