Dzika Chata Inn Zawoja

In architecture and cuisine, the restaurant successfully draws on the region's ancient traditions. The inn was built using ethnographic materials documenting folk architecture in Zawoja. The proportions, silhouette and details are based on features of the Mt Babia region. All this is complemented by a highland band, concerts by folk groups, and regional dishes brought to you by waitstaff in folk costumes. The inn is located in the tourist part of Zawoja – Podryżowana, in close proximity to the Babia Góra National Park. The inn has two rooms. One of these houses a wrought-iron barbecue and a bread oven where homemade bread is baked.
In the interestingly furnished interior, you can enjoy, for example, game dishes – such as delicious roast pate and wild boar goulash served with dumplings – and beetroot carpaccio with oscypek and bryndza topped with vinaigrette sauce. Next to the inn is one of the oldest roadside shrines in Zawoja, dating back to the 19th century. Inside the chapel is a unique wooden statue of the Virgin Mary.
