It occupies the premises of the tenement house at Rynek 29, where permanent collections are organized: a room illustrating the history of the city, the interior of a bourgeois house, an exhibition room dedicated to the history of bread and crafts.
The Regional Chamber in Wojnicz was founded in 1969 on the initiative of fr. Jan Królikiewicz, a great lover of Wojnicz and its history. As the authorities in 1960s did not permit the founding of the Society of Wojnicz Enthusiasts, fr. Królikiewicz led to the creation of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK) circle in Wojnicz, named after Romantic poet Seweryn Goszczyński. The circle gathered not only tourism lovers but also Wojnicz enthusiasts. One of their first activities was the creation of the Regional Chamber. Thanks to that many valuable monuments were saved from irreversible destruction. For many years, the Chamber did not have adequate premises and was moved to different places. In 1983, the PTTK circle made a dramatic decision to suspend the activities of the Regional Chamber and the collections were stored in the private rooms of fr. Jan Królikiewicz. It wasn't until 1987 that the commune authorities designated a new premise for the Chamber (Rynek 29 – Findrówka), where nice and aesthetic exhibition of the collections is now arranged. The opening ceremony, honoured by the presence of Bishop Władysław Bobowski, took place on 10 November 1990.
