The church was built in 1720 in place of the previous C17th church, the chancel of which was probably used.
In 1902 the church was completely rebuilt: the nave was elongated, and in place of the spire a galilee with a bell garret was erected. The church walls and ceilings are covered with figurative and ornamental polychrome decoration from the beginning of the C20th. The interior of the church is remarkable above all for the rococo fittings from 1779. The designer of the altar was probably the woodcarver and sculptor Piotr Kornecki.
